The strawberries planted last year are coming in strong this summer. Learned the hard way to never mulch strawberries with leaves. The leaves make the environment way too cozy for some kind of worm that is feasting mightily on strawberries in the front garden bed.

Great Year for Peonies

Rhubarb sauce
as per Bon Appétit
In a saucepan combine chopped rhubarb and sugar (1 cup sugar for every 4 cups rhubarb). Add a splash of water to get things started and simmer 30 minutes.
